Mr. Strongman

Yesterday was such a huge day for milestones! Chase suddenly started lifting his legs and hips up into the air, reaching for his toes - and he spent all day repeating the exercise on his own! Not only that, but he began rolling from tummy to back, and from back to tummy - multiple times!

A couple months ago, he would roll over accidentally. But now, he is making these movements because he has developed the muscles and the know-how to make the move. We still have to work on him rolling in both directions (not just towards one side) but this was very exciting.
Three new moves in one day? After working for weeks on this? Wow!

We all laugh about the life of a baby - eat, sleep, poop. That easy, right? Not for these ambitious babies with Down syndrome who work so hard at therapy and with home exercises! We are so proud of Chase and his hard work!

  1. Way to go Chase!! Yeah, for our babies with Down syndrome, it's eat, sleep, poop, and baby boot camp (as we termed it at our house). :-)

  2. Thank you for your beautiful blog! I am a Christian stay-at-home Mom and am 6+ months pregnant (due date Nov 30th). We found out last week that our sweet baby boy has Down's Syndrome. We have 3 daughters (9 years old, 7 years old and 18 months old). I LOVE the details that you provide in your blog, especially regarding therapy and MD visits, and the pictures of your family. Thanks again! Anna (Phil. 4:13)
