Georgia DS Research Project

A pediatrics research group at Georgia State University is looking for infants and toddlers aged between 11 to 24 months to participate in our research project. In particular, we are interested in infants with Down Syndrome. We want to examine how infants adjust their grasping and reaching pattern with the respect to the size of a toy and the size of the infant’s hand. The testing session lasts about 60 minutes. Parent and infant will not be reimbursed for their time; however, they usually find these experiences of participation to be interesting and fun. We hope the results from this study will contribute to a better understanding of human movement and thus better rehabilitation treatments.

If interested, please contact Dr. Yu-ping Chen at and 404-413-1256 for further information.
