Up For Reading

Join in Down Syndrome Education International's fun and educational sponsored reading campaign in 2011.

Up for Reading raises awareness of the reading abilities of children with Down syndrome and helps to raise funds for vital research and educational services.

Up for Reading is a great way to mark both World Book Day on Thursday 3 March 2011 and World Down Syndrome Day on 21 March 2011.

Up for Reading is a fun and educational sponsored reading event that any child can easily complete as part of their everyday reading activities at school, nursery or home, on their own or with friends or family.

Now in its third year, Up for Reading is the only sponsored reading event backed by top authors and illustrators including Lucy Cousins, Michael Morpurgo, Anthony Horowitz, Jeremy Strong, Nick Sharratt, Steve Weatherill, Justin Somper, Vivian French, Quentin Blake and Korky Paul.

Children, nurseries and schools taking part in Up for Reading will be entered into prize draws to win amazing Up for Reading prizes.

Schools and nurseries can also benefit from fantastic discounts on books from a selection of leading publishers.
