Morning After Surgery

Silly Juice Before Going Back
Chase did great last night - he got lots of sleep and woke up happier and playful. The nurse expects him to be discharged today, though the doctor has not yet been by and no discharge orders have been discussed.

He hasn't yet had breakfast (dinner last night was cold peaches and applesauce), but is loving the never-ending supply of apple juice and cartoons! He'll keep enjoying the soft, cold food and juice while his throat heals.

To explain about the nose - the doctor didn't break his whole nose, but just a little bone inside the nose. So there's no bruising and it's not as bad as it sounds. Chase is rubbing his eyes and nose alot, so it seems he can feel something is different, but it doesn't seem to be hurting him like yesterday. The eye tubes will come out in six months.

Happier and Playful the Morning After
Here are some before and after pictures while he was in a happy mood! Brother and Grammy brought balloons and a little lion stuffed animal that he is loving, along with the little puppy dog that the Osborne's gave him when he was born. We know he's feeling better as he is making car sounds and making the lion growl!
