We visited the ENT today who revealed that one of Chase's ear tubes had fallen out. I was thinking about how it can be possible for that to happen without us realizing, but also dreading having to schedule another anesthesia procedure to have a new one reinserted. But in the midst of all of this, the ENT pulls out the other ear's tube and declares us good to go! Apparently Chase's ears looked so good that we don't need another set of tubes for now!
Such good news!
Our appointment with the sleep pulmonologist was rescheduled for the 30th of August so we'll have to wait longer to see about Chase's low iron stores and why he is up so much at night. It should be an interesting appointment, especially since I just got done reading an article about sleep disturbances in kids with T21 today.
For now we're simply happy that we've gotten one system under control so easily - ears and sinuses used to give us such grief. Big smiles all around!
