Buddy Walk 2013: Go Speed Racer!!

Go Speed ChaserOur family just registered for the Buddy Walk, 2013! Join our team - Go Speed Chaser - in walking on Sunday, October 13, 2013 at Centennial Olympic Park in Atlanta, to support acceptance and inclusion of those with Down syndrome. Check out our page {here} to support us financially or to join our team!
The Buddy Walk not only promotes acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome but also raises funds for local programs and services as well as national advocacy initiatives.
The money raised through the Atlanta Buddy Walk allows the Down Syndrome Association of Atlanta to fund several initiatives:

The Emory Down Syndrome Center, which provides early childhood developmental pediatric services and is directly involved in research and clinical studies that will have a direct impact on our family.

The Adult Down Syndrome Clinic, which provides direct managed care for teens and adults with Down syndrome.

Educational conferences and workshops throughout the year - topics include financial planning, research and medical initiatives, educational advocacy, as well as any number of topics related to raising a child with Down syndrome.

Several social and support activities for families in the Atlanta Down syndrome community - Holiday and and spring socials, young adult dances, scholarships for therapies, local support groups.

We are so grateful to be part of the Down Syndrome Association of Atlanta, an organization full of amazing families who do so much to support each other! Join us in doing our small part to give back, so that other families can experience the wonderful blessing that it is to be part of this community!
